A Complaint Letter for Restaurant for Excess tax levied

To,

Manager

[xxx restaurant]

Respected Sir,

I visited your restaurant on date [] and this letter is to bring into your notice, the inconvenience caused by you in the said date. We were a group of five people and had visited your restaurant for a small birthday celebration of one of my friends. We had booked a table through call on the previous day. When we entered the restaurant, the reception was welcoming. We celebrated the birthday of my friend and had a blast. We ordered food and it was delicious. The real problem popped in when we had to pay the bills.

As per my previous conversation with your receptionist, she had informed me that there were no taxes on the celebrations done in the restaurants. I had confirmed from her during my call as well as when we entered the reception. To my dismay,  an extra tax was levied on the same and additionally there was a tax on the mineral water bottle we ordered and this was extra from the taxes levied on the food items. I really don’t understand your tax breakdown. I enquired with the supervisor present there but his explanations did not seem satisfying to me. This is discouraging that even after confirming there would be no extra taxes on celebration, it was levied. This kind of confused behaviour is not welcoming for the customers.

I would request you to investigate further on this matter and reply me with a justified solution.

Yours  truly,

[Name of Sender]
