A Speech on “Students Should Be Required to Take Spanish Classes.”

This always has been a very tough debate that is being continued for many years and still is going now days. According to many tests and statistics, 47% of people believe that’s a very important part of life that many students should try to learn Spanish language while in school but other 53% do not. In the UK, French and German classes are being taught as an important part of the study curriculum in many secondary schools, as well as many other special languages such as Spanish, Chinese and Portuguese being taught as the optional languages. However, in America, there are no foreign languages to be found which have to be learned by the students. In today’s rapidly growing, developing and this well connected world, some may say that learning other language is an important for students to be able to become a more cultured person while attaining the rare ability to connect and communicate with other people from around the planet with great ease.

But why especially Spanish language, you can definitely ask. Well, referring to the routines of the UK, Germany and France are the two most highly diverse countries that are location wise very close and also very easily accessible to the students of the UK, so it really makes sense. Now, regarding America, the neighbor countries such as, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and others, all of that country have a very clear majority of persons that speaks the Spanish language or its other variants.

Furthermore, there are over 37 million persons who are fluent in Spanish and also living in the US, making it as one of the most commonly spoken foreign language in the country. In fact, more people can fluently speak Spanish language in the US than they do in the country of Spain itself. Therefore it surely makes sense that the students should learn and also have the ability to communicate effortlessly.

One of the most opposite arguments is that students should and also, have the chance to learn any language that they desire to learn. With various learning programs via online, via some apps and Spanish classes, the opposing sides can be able to state that if a student really wanted to learn a special foreign language, like the Spanish language, then they should learn. However, it’s really not known that exactly how many students have the ability to access to these special programs, mainly through various education facilities.

Some people can say that speaking the Spanish language really   helps students to gain more chances when it comes to the tough situation of job hunting and also to moving abroad which triggers the long lived argument that, again, students have to learn Spanish on their own interest if they were really desired to move and settle to a Spanish-speaking country.

As you can see, this is a long time argument with many good points on both sides. But I personally support the fact that, the students should be required to take Spanish classes.
