A Speech on Child Labor (Template)

At first to convey my warm welcome to all the persons present in this seminar. I am here to discuss about the problems of child labor.

Child labor has been the most important problem of our world because it affects the children in numerous ways like mentally and physically. It also destroys the health of our future generation. The Child labor act, defines a child, who has not completed the age of 14 years are not allowed to give their labor. Child labor is the process of forcing the children into work in order to gain economic progress, on a part or full-time basis.

Every child is a gift from god and it must be cherished with good care and love by the family and the society. But, unfortunately, due to the social and economic problems of our society the children are forced to work in industries, leather factories, hotels, and a self-service restaurant.

Child labor is not a small problem in our society so to eliminate child labor first we should focus on the socio-economic problems of the society. In many countries many children are employed in various forms of child labor without giving any attention to the laws of the country. Many countries provide some notable rights to children and prohibit child labor like no child below the age of 14 years shall be employed in any factory or laborious work.

In some places, children are given some services to grow in a healthy atmosphere. Some countries offer free and compulsory educations to all children of the society between the ages below 14 years. Some major causes of child labor can mentioned as poverty, debts, professional needs, etc.

Poverty is one of the major factors, for which the children are forced to work in order to feed their families. If they don’t work they and their family will fall ill and die of hunger. Because of poverty, illiterate and unemployed parents cannot send their children to school. So that the poor parents send their children have to work hard from morning to night. So first we have to try our best to eliminate the bane of poverty from our society.

The poor economic condition of our country forces the poor people to borrow money. This system forces them to work hard in order to repay those debts within the given time. Therefore, the parents needed their children to work to help them and do much dangerous work.

I would like to conclude by saying that the remedy is only can be provided by our government. It needs to take many essential steps to create new employment opportunities resulting in the elimination of poverty from our society.

The government should give proper attention in educating the poor children. We all have to try our very best to help our society in eliminating this serious problem.

Thank you again for your time and attention.
