While working in a particular organization for a long you are given an appraisal which is usually around the period of December or March. But if you think you were not given a deserving percentage of increment at that time you can write to your manager or directly to HR about your dissatisfaction with the increment and can ask for more.

This can be accepted by the management or it can be rejected as well. You should mention your current salary, and how much you expect and make sure your letter sounds like a request.

It’s a delight for me to be a part of a wonderful team. I was never more professionally dedicated to my life than I did now. I am grateful for the opportunity to work here and I really enjoy it. To return the favor, I have always given the best of my abilities to this position and I always worked hard to make sure my performance stays consistent.

As you are aware, one year has passed since my joining. I was expecting a customary salary review as we approach the annual mark. My performance has been on par with the demands of my position. I demonstrated a good understanding of what needs to be accomplished in the scope of my work.

If there is no reason preventing such a review,  I would like to kindly ask, you to consider my request due to my steady performance and my customary increase in cost, of living.

Dear Sir,

I feel time flies by really fast and I completed 2 years in the organization last week. It feels that it was just yesterday that I joined the team as an intern. I have learned so much in this time period that I feel I was really lucky to get selected among my whole batch.

I have tried to fulfill all my responsibilities and there have been times that I have worked on weekends so that we dont delay any client projects. I learned many new tools and techniques while in this organization to finish the work assigned to me.

I would like to bring to your notice that my appraisal for this year is due in two months. I was expecting a raise from the march and have planned things accordingly.

Hello Sir,

It’s been a while since I joined the organization, almost a year and a half. I recently came across my colleagues and all of them received their increment mail a week back but to my surprise, I am yet to get my mail.

I am anxious to know if there is something that I have missed in the last year and hence my increment is withheld.

If this is the case I am open to any discussion where I can be told what have I missed and what areas I need to work upon If the increment is just missed unknowingly, I would request your to release my letter as well as I am very eager to know how was my performance graded in last one year so that I can work more and more for better pay raises.

Respected Sir/Mam,

I would like to start with a thank you note. It’s been 3 years that I have been associated with Pfizer. I have learned various sales methodologies and have been able to achieve my targets because of the constant support of my manager and colleagues.

I would bring to your notice that I have received my increment letter and I feel a bit disappointed with what percentage my salary has been increased. I was expecting a bit more as I was able to overachieve in the last two quarters of the year and my clients have been constantly sending good reviews about the product and me. 

So this makes me ponder why I have been graded C and what areas you think I have lacked. I would like to have a meeting with the management in this regard as I had expected more and planned things according to that.

Respected Sir/Mam,

Thank you very much for providing me with this opportunity to be a part of a company that helps the employee grow with the organization’s growth.

But this time I have been disappointed with the increment given to me as I feel that as a sales executive my primary role revolves around selling the products and which I have overdone this year and achieved half of my next year’s target as well.

Apart from this, I have been actively taking part in the training and seminars happening in the company. I have taken only 3 leaves in the last quarter and have worked on behalf of my employees who had family emergencies. So I don’t feel that I have lacked somewhere so badly to get only a 3% raise.

I have more and more responsibilities coming on me in this one year as I am planning to get married and settle and for that my financial condition is the most important thing.

Kindly let me know what is your say on this and is there anything you feel I should know about hence to improve in my areas of work or if you can revise my current raise so that from next month onwards I get the revised salary.
