A host family is no less important in a person’s life than a real family. When you move to some other city, the family which takes you in and cares for you is the host family, but when you have to leave them for some reason and move out elsewhere then writing a nice goodbye letter becomes essential.
In order to help you with that, I have written a nice sample letter, going through which it will be easier for you to write yours.

It has been [ insert the number of years since joining with the host family] years since you have been considering me part and parcel of your family.
As you are aware, I have got a new job in [ insert the name of the location], I will be leaving [ insert the name of the current location] and moving in with one of my friends at [ insert the name of the destination location]
Before I took your leave, I wanted to pen this letter to let you know how grateful I am to have met you and the entire family.
[ Insert the number of years since joining with the host family] years ago, when I first came to [ insert the name of the current location], I had no place to live or the money to afford a place to live. You were God-sent blessings at that time and ever since then.
I cannot thank you enough for the immense amount of care and love you have shown to me in these past years, and I feel blessed to have been a part of this family.
I pray and hope that you will be honored in everything you do, and you will be taken to greater levels of opportunities in the days to come.
