Now sometimes it might so happen that you ordered a particular product from a site but the one which you received turned out to be something else, something entirely different. So in such a case, you obviously think of returning the product and getting a refund.

I made this order on (mention date and time) from (mention order location). My order number is (mention your order number). Kindly look into the matter and resolve it as soon as possible.

I [ you name] would like to inform you that I had received [product name ] instead of [ product name2]. I had actually not expected it to happen with me. I have been ordering from your company for last [ time span] years. It is disheartening to see that you have not really taken care while sending the order placed by me [ order date]. 

I am really disappointed for the way I had been treated by your organization. I had actually never expected it to happen like this. I had not ordered [ product 2] for myself. I had to gift it to one of my family members on his/ her birthday. 

Since you have send the wrong product to me., I cannot explain how much loss I had to face due to your carelessness. I had promised birthday boy/girl that I will gift [ product 2] to birthday boy / girl on his /her birthday. 

I cannot explain the state of disappointment I am going through after making the promise that I could not keep with the little boy/girl who is my darling nephew/niece. 

You must remember that I had requested you several times over the phone for this particular product. Repeatedly, I had informed the product id over the call which is [ product id].  But still the customer care agent, the name I do not remember had done the mistake of noting down the wrong product id. It has indeed caused a mishap in my life. 

For your convenience, I am confirming once again , I had order for [ product 1] whose id is [ product id ] on [ order date ] at [ time] over the call. I do not have the information about the name of the agent. Yet, I do have the order id number which is [ order id]. 

You can check the details from the call records as well. I would like to request you to refund the money for the product that I ordered for. I am sending the product back to you. I would be grateful to you if you refund the money that I had paid for [ product 1].

I am writing this letter with deep disappointment in my heart. I feel that I have been cheated as I have received the wrong product instead of the product that I had ordered on [ date]. To correct it, I had ordered for [ product name1]. But you have sent me [ product 2]. It is indeed of matter of stress for me. I cannot rely on you anymore. You have broken my trust by sending the wrong product. I do want the money back. I need refund. 

For your better understanding, I would like to inform you that  I had placed the order for [ product name] on  [ mention shopping site] on [ order date ]. I had done the payment through my card  online. In fact, customer care agent of your company called me on the same day for confirming the details. I had twice confirmed the name of the product along with the product id details. 

Yet I do not know how the mistake had happened. I had received a wrong product. Instead of [ product name 1 ] , I received [ product name 2]. This is simply not expected from a reputed organization like yours.

Moreover, I would like to also notify you about the fact that I had paid $[ amount ] with a discount of [ percent]%. I have been overcharged for this particular product for which I did not place any order. 

I am sorry to inform that you did not care to understand the product I was ordering for. You must understand the fact that why I should pay anything extra for the product that I did not order. 

I would to return the product back to you. I also request for refunding the entire amount of $[amount]. If you want me to continue doing shopping from your site in future then kindly do the needful.
